Kansas City Star Fountain
Location: 1729 Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, MO
Found: September 7, 2013
Behind one of the older Kansas City Star buildings sits this fountain. It is southwest of the main Kansas City Star building. Built in the 1960s with the backing of the owners of the Kansas City Star. Fountains are in 5 granite bowls which spill down into a granite basin and then into a larger granite basin. The back of the fountain can be seen clearly from East 18th Street. The west side of the fountain can be seen from Grand Boulevard. The trees and wall around a parking lot keep it hidden from McGee Street on the east.
